The Reutlingen fire-fighting police chose an inexpensive solution, to get to a motorized ladder vehicle, by using their still fully functional 18 m wooden ladder by Magirus from 1911 to an M-25 chassis from the same manufacturer. Am 18.7. 1937 this "conversion manager" was captured in the picture in front of the Ulm Minster before delivery to the customer.
A Hansa-Lloyd LK-3500 chassis was used for this KL 17 used, the 1939 from the Wolfenbüttel volunteer fire brigade near Magirus, Ulm, ordered and under the commission no. 905637 at the beginning of the year 1941 was delivered to the client.
